At-Home Wax Care Guide
The First 24–48 Hours
The first two days post-wax are critical for healing. Your follicles are open, making the skin vulnerable to irritation and bacteria.
AVOID: HEAT
Hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms open follicles, inviting irritation.
AVOID: WORKOUTS
Heavy sweating can lead to breakouts and friction in treated areas.
AVOID: TIGHT CLOTHES
Tight synthetic fabrics trap sweat and cause unnecessary friction.
AVOID: POOLS
Chlorine and salt water can sting and dry out freshly waxed skin.
AVOID: TANNING
UV exposure on sensitive skin can lead to hyperpigmentation.
AVOID: EXFOLIATION
Immediately rushing to scrub can tear and damage healing skin.
Preventing Ingrown Hairs
The key to smooth skin is a consistent routine. Once your skin has calmed (usually 48 hours post-wax), begin exfoliating 2–3 times per week. This keeps the follicles clear and helps new hair reach the surface without getting trapped.

Moisture Matters
Hydration is the secret to a successful waxing routine. Keeping your skin moisturized with a high-quality body oil ensures hair can easily push through the surface, preventing the dry, brittle texture that leads to breakage and localized irritation. A daily moisture ritual keeps your skin supple, smooth, and perfectly prepped for your next studio visit.
Don’t Pick!
Step away from the tweezers. Picking and digging can turn one small ingrown into inflammation, scarring, infection or a dark mark.
Between Appointments
Consistency is key to a perfectly smooth result. We recommend booking every 4–6 weeks to ensure your hair is at the ideal length for removal and to help manage natural growth cycles. Most importantly: step away from the razor. Shaving between visits disrupts the cycle, toughens the follicle, and makes your next wax less comfortable.
